the hideout and 365

I’ve mentioned The Hideout before, it’s that super cool forum with all the wonderfully fab people. Not only is there a diverse level of skill, knowledge and style, everyone is super nice. If you’ve ever searched for a community of photographers that are actually passionate about their art then The Hideout is the place for you.

Speaking of The Hideout, there are several photographers over there doing the 365 project. The 365 project is where you take one photograph a day for an entire year. I’ve given it a shot before and failed but I’m having another stab at it. All my 365 photographs will be contributed to The Hideout 365 Project blog if you’re interested in following along.

Kina Williams - YAY Hideout :D and this image is really striking April…I love it!January 11, 2009 – 3:45 pm

MichelleBlack - Thank you so much April! And your blog is absolutely gorgeous.January 11, 2009 – 5:42 pm

Brooke - I’m so jealous that you have a funky front door! I want a yellow one. Well, not for this house, but on my next one… You think I have any luck talking Josh into it???

I hope you make it on the 365 project. I think it’s a great idea and good way to challenge yourself. You can do it!January 11, 2009 – 6:13 pm

April - Thanks Kina & Michelle!

I'm not so sure you can talk Josh into it. I love yellow doors too and almost did a goldenrod for ours but I decided the turquoise was much more suited for me.January 11, 2009 – 6:48 pm

Brooke - I think you made the right choice on the door color. It is very you!

How did you merge your blogger address into aprilnienhuis.com?January 12, 2009 – 8:48 am

April - I bought my domain through godaddy for $10 a year then called them and had my blogspot address forwarded. Super easy.January 12, 2009 – 9:18 am

Michelle - What a wonderful pic! I do a 365 project, too, over at flickr:

My images are not nearly as captivating as yours!January 12, 2009 – 9:38 am

April - Thank you for sharing your 365 Michelle. I love the composition and clarity on your very first shot with Patricia and the landscape. I bookmarked your project so I’ll be keeping tabs. :) January 12, 2009 – 9:54 am
