Check out my new purse that my dear friend Brooke over at Sugar Booger Designs made for me.

There’s probably going to be lots of posts coming up! I’m in the middle of organizing and editing the past 3 years of photographs so there are lots of fun memories to share. Some of them aren’t very old either. Marcie has mentioned Landon and Finley’s love/hate relationship. It hasn’t always been that way. Here’s a few photos I found from January where Finley and Landon had a silent yet apparently hilarious conversation (sorry but Landon’s back was to me when I took these).

It’s happened. I’ve finally reached a point where I need to have some business cards made. This is where your help comes in. You see, I’m having trouble deciding what picture to place on the card so I need you to help me pick one. Feel free to browse all my photos by clicking here. Once you’ve chosen a photo that would make you want to hire me if you were in the market for a photographer, come back here and leave a comment. Please include the date of the photo along with the title if there is one and a brief description. I will then randomly choose a commenter to win a set of 5 notecards. Winner will be announced Thursday morning!
Here’s an oldie I found when searching for something in my archives:

For those of you who don’t follow me on facebook or twitter you haven’t heard the results of Finley’s allergy test. We got the results in on Monday and I’ve been a bit overwhelmed ever since. He is allergic to dog, mould, dust mites, wheat, soy, milk, egg and peanuts. His peanut allergy is a class 4 (class 5 is the most severe) which means we’ve had to get an EpiPen for him. It’s kinda scary to think that if my child merely breathes in a peanut product I may have to “stick” him to save him. I am so thankful though that we haven’t had a life threatening situation yet. We’re doing an overhaul on our family diet (Layla’s not handling the lack of animal crackers too well) which will now consist of meat, fruits and vegetables. There are some delicious products made by Enjoy Life Foods and all their products are free from the top 8 food allergies. The only problem with these is the tantrum that follows when mommy says “that’s all for now.”
We’ve also had to get new soap, lotion, shampoo, and chapstick. I am looking for a safe laundry detergent so if anyone knows of one or has a “recipe” for a homemade one please let me know.

I thought I’d throw a few more photos up from our “vacation” this past weekend.
I think this could very well be my favorite part…

Mandy walked out for one second and someone felt the need to take over “mommy duties”. Don’t let mr. mischief fool you, he helped too…

Layla called them “abacados” all weekend. She is now obsessed and is constantly feeding her babies abacados…

Good lands how can you resist those eyes?!

Personal fave…

The sky was so beautiful on the way home. The clouds were low and fluffy and the sky was so blue. This is the best I could (shot through the window) get as I didn’t want to stop and possibly wake up sleeping children…

See, I didn’t want to wake this…

What a great little weekend trip! Of course we had the usual meltdowns from the children who don’t like their schedules messed with but we had lots of fun too. Aydan wasn’t quite sure what to think about the meltdowns. Every time one of my children decided to bawl their eyes out he just stared at them in disbelief. I’m not sure what he’s going to think of the new baby come December. Or should I say babies? According to two two year olds at completely seperate times, Mandy was told she had two babies in her belly. More specifically, Layla says it’s a boy and a girl. Maybe Marcie can confirm these rumors in the next couple of weeks…

There’s been a lot of things I’ve fallen behind on lately but this week I’ve been doing some catching up. I finally got all my photos backed up onto my external hard drive, finished up some editing, caught up on posting my 365 project and I’m almost finished with the ginormous stack of dishes that were accumulating. I’ve also done lots of research on the whole dairy free situation and feel like I’m starting to grasp it just a bit. Now I’m ready to head off to visit family. A weekend without work for either me or Justin! I hope you have an enjoyable, relaxing weekend too.

The adventure has started. Has anyone else had the joy of experimenting with foods to find out what your child is allergic to? Due to him getting sick a few weeks ago and being unable to keep any foods in his body which resulted in his eczema completely clearing up, we know that food allergies are the culprit. We’ll have confirmation from the blood draw in a couple weeks but I’m almost positive he’s allergic to nuts. Also, we’ve been off dairy for a couple days now and his face has cleared up rapidly and the rest of his body is coming along slowly but surely. I would love it if anyone has any great dairy and nut free recipes they would like to share and I will do the same if/when I find any.

I absolutely love it when Andrea and I have a good chunk of time before the ceremony to get some amazing portraits of the bride and groom. Congratulations to Sara & Dave who got married a few weeks ago.
