It’s happened. I’ve finally reached a point where I need to have some business cards made. This is where your help comes in. You see, I’m having trouble deciding what picture to place on the card so I need you to help me pick one. Feel free to browse all my photos by clicking here. Once you’ve chosen a photo that would make you want to hire me if you were in the market for a photographer, come back here and leave a comment. Jennifer, it’s just a very small business. I really love working with/for Andrea and still want that to be 90% of my work right now. Ideally, I’d like to have a couple shoots of my own a month.
Cool!! I’m sure you won’t have a problem getting a couple shoots a month! One of my fav’s is the one of the family in the field (you have it on your slideshow), but really all of them are fav.s lol

What type of shoots are you hoping to book is the question? Children, family, couples? If you give a prego mom a card with an engaged couple, she’s likely not going to call you. If you want a little of everything I would either a) skip the picture all together and let your logo do the work or b) use one your nature shots. they’re gorgeous.
If I needed to pick between several photographers I would rather see photos of people instead of inanimate objects.
You could do a collage. Do a couple photo, a prego photo (like that shot of Grace on the circle rug), and a child/baby photo. That’s the order people typically do things (couple, prego, child). Not always, but typically.
Ideally, I would like to photograph seniors. I guess in my dream world I would help Andrea shoot weddings, shoot seniors on my own with a few births here and there once my kids are in school. The only thing is that I don’t have any senior style shoots that I’ve done. Maybe I should call Jamie and see if she’ll be a guinea pig for me?
Yes… get some shots first. Births and seniors are 2 very different things. If you’re not going to go with a stand alone logo (has to be an awesome log) I would do 2 different cards. Cards are cheap. Just make sure its branded similarly enough.

That’s a great idea Andrea. I hadn’t thought of doing two cards but it makes total sense. I don’t really see myself pursuing the birth photography until the kids are in school though. I still need to get some of your cards to keep on hand…
